This notice is being sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act.

Optronics has decided that the STL-45RK LED Trailer Light Kit does not conform to the illuminated lens area specifications that are required by Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 108 “Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment.”

The STL-45RK light kit contains one grommet mount taillight, one grommet, and one plug for wiring.  The kit is designed for trailers in excess of 80 inches wide, and comes in clam packaging.

Since these lights are sealed and cannot be repaired, Optronics is recalling the STL-45RK kits and offering free replacements.

If you operate retail outlets, Optronics is attaching a safety recall card for point-of-purchase display.

To request replacements, please contact Optronics customer service at 1-800-364-5483 or 918-683-9514 Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Central Standard Time.  Replacements will be shipped directly to you at no charge.  If you have previously purchased a replacement for this product you may be entitled to a refund.
